Orientation Year / Job Seeker Permit

Start Your Career in the Netherlands

International graduates, PhD candidates and researchers may, under certain conditions, qualify for the Dutch Orientation Year for Highly Educated Persons (Zoekjaar Hoogopgeleiden).

This residence permit is designed to give eligible highly educated individuals the opportunity to remain in or come to the Netherlands for one year to search for suitable employment, start a business or explore other professional opportunities. We assist clients with:

An important advantage of the Orientation Year is that eligible graduates who subsequently become Highly Skilled Migrants may qualify for the reduced salary criterion, provided the applicable conditions are met.
